Pledge of Allegiance and the Girl Scout Promise were recited
Welcome New Leaders
A welcome is extended to all new Leaders! Just a reminder that you need to get your training before holding meetings - you can, however; participate in town-run or council run events before then. Look for trainings out at www.girlscoutseasternmass.org
Cindy Russell has volunteered her 12th grade scouts to help or run some of the new Daisy meetings. Cindy can be contacted at ctrussell@comcast.net
Share Campaign Update
Dara visited us from Council to congratulate us from exceeding our goals for the SHARE Campaign and presented us with a check.
For those that need the reminder, SHARE is a fundraising campaign to raise money that is used to underwrite Council programs, maintain camps, fund training, and provide financial assistance to girls including summer camp scholarships and yearly fees.
Our goal was to have 45 families contribute a total of $1000. Our results were 85 families contributing a total of $1457.
Fall Registration Update
47 new girls registered this fall - and all are placed!
There are leaders who have CORIs that need to be updated this fall. Even if you are CORIed for some other town organization, you need to be CORIed for GSEM. Parents/Husbands/other adults who are regularly at your meeting place or ever drive for events need to get CORIed. CORI forms can be found online and you can have these folk drop by up to a 1/2 hour before the next Leader meeting to turn in their form and have it signed off.

There is an Adult Learning Conference being held on 10/29 from 8:30-4:15 in Tewksbury. This is a multi-track event where you can get your Core Learning Plan done, update your CPR/First Aid, get New Leader Training, etc...
A reminder that the books and badges have all been updated and are now in use throughout all the stores. Old badges will only be available until supplies are used up.
Next Leader's Meeting, we will be have a "bring your old craft supplies" so that the new Daisy Leaders can grab 10 pair of safety scissors without having to buy them! So...bring the stuff you're never going to use again to share with the new or new-ish Leaders! (Next Leader's Meeting is at Town Hall)
Past Events
Older Girl Overnight - Held at Wind-In-The-Pines in Plymouth. The weather was perfect. There was canoeing, flying squirrel, archery, and the girls could sign up for the ziplining the next day. The event was relaxing and the facilities were great (even with the Cape traffic).
We are still looking into running a Younger Girl Overnight in the spring...
Corn Maze for Older Girls - at Marini Farms in Ipswich. 35 girls attended - some loved it, some hated it! Easy event to run...will probably do it again next year!
Future Events
Halloween Party - 10/23, 2-4pm at the Moose. About 100 girls have registered! This is a drop-off event, though Leaders are welcome to stay to help with Safety-Wise numbers. Mothers of new Daisies are invited to stay as the girl's troops haven't really formed yet!
Monster Mini-Golf - 10/21, 1:45-3 pm in Danvers. This is a 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade event.
Astronomy Night - 11/11, 7-9 pm in Middlesex. This is a Junior event. There is a maximum enrollment of 50 girls. Cost is $5 per girl. This event has a cloud/raindate of 11/18. Forms are up on the blog and due BEFORE THE NEXT LEADER'S MEETING
Gingerbread House Decorating - 12/4, 1-3 pm at Rice Moody. This is a Brownie DROP-OFF event. Cost is $20 per girl. There are limited spaces available. Forms are up on the blog and due at the next Leader's Meeting.
Fall Product Sales

Some troops haven't responded to the invite to a "GreenMean" ? account. If this is you, please respond. There was a problem with registering, but this appears to have been fixed.
